The founder and leader of 316 Mining, Todd and his father risked everything they had to make their gold mining dream come true when the recession caused them to lose nearly everything they had, and the rest is history.
The Patriarch of the Hoffman family, Jack had a dream of becoming a gold miner- a dream which he and his son Todd first set about making a reality in the 80s and once again in 2010.
Hunter is the the third generation of Hoffman miners, and is quickly learning the ins and outs of gold mining with his father, Todd, and grandfather, Jack.
Jim Thurber first met Todd in church when he was having a life-changing moment. Like Todd, Jim also lost everything in the recession, and was quick to join the crew from the very start in search of gold and a better future for his family. He now oversees the final sorting and tabling of materials in the gold room with Jack.
Dave was managing Mt. Hood Rock before Todd came to him for help in running his mining operation. An expert on rock crushers, conveyors, and all things rock related, Dave makes sure that the wash plant is running smoothly around the clock.
An earth-moving machine known to have worked as long as 72 hours straight in the Yukon, Andy handles the excavation and moving of paydirt and overburden.
Formerly a lineman for a power company, Kevin now works for the Hoffman Crew as a loader operator and occasionally a rock truck driver. He can be found most days keeping the wash plant fed and complaining about the pay the pit crew brings him.
Todd’s younger cousin, Logan has grown in responsibility from a rock truck driver to excavator operator, and is capable of running the pit when Andy is working on other tasks.
316 Mining’s heavy equipment mechanic, Randy can fix almost anything with just a set of wrenches and a screwdriver. With his service truck and tools, Randy can fix anything.
The second mechanic on the Hoffman crew, Juan specializes in welding and fabrication. When Randy is fixing machines, Juan is keeping the wash plant in top shape. Between the two of them, they make a deadly duo.
Brian drives a rock truck and keeps all the communications systems and assorted tech on the mine running. When he’s not mining, he’s working with Todd on his various entrepreneurial projects and refining his skillset as a video editor.
Todd’s nephew, Sterling drives a rock truck for 316 Mining, and is arguably the fastest and most efficient on the crew at what he does. In the offseason, he plays collegiate basketball and continues his studies in hopes of becoming a teacher someday.
